Sunfading
Fading is caused by direct or indirect sunlight shinning on the carpet. Generally the fade is more severe at the window and gradually becomes less noticeable as you move into the room. If a piece of furniture or area rug is close to the window for a long period then moved. Below where the furniture or area rug was is many times the original color. The fading is generally more severe as you get close to the window or slider. Carpet also, can get faded or dull in traffic lanes where the most traffic across the carpet is.
